Horrible taste and gagging

I was on spiro 100mg for a couple years and it worked great, but I had to stop because the taste and texture were SO disgusting. Even when I would fill my mouth with water and quickly toss the pill down my own throat, it was still awful. Eventually, I developed a hypersensitive gag reflex because of it. I want to go back on it, but I honestly can’t stomach it. Has anyone experienced this and found a way around it?
