2015 TDI Golf Upgrade and Maintenance Questions
Just picked up a 2015 Golf TDI a few weeks ago, in love with the car so far. Has 141,000miles so a few questions about what im looking to do:
1: Timing belt and waterpump. I see people say Diesel Geeks, but I noticed theyre a little over a 100 bucks more than the IDparts kit. Now I was leaning towards the IDparts kit because it has the non-variable water pump and with all the extra add-ons it comes out cheaper. Is this a good kit? DG comes with the step by step also so wondering if that was worth it. I am mechanically inclined and have a shop with lift available to work on it. Also, what timing tool kit do is best for the money? Will be doing the CP4 disaster kit along with this too
2: Pothole. Leaning towards the Darkside kit and Tunezilla stage 2. Any downsides to these two?
3: Suspension. I have the lighting package, but would like to lower the car a couple inches and front shocks are very much worn. Whats an affordable option for this? I dont mind paying a bit but its not like ill be tracking this car, maybe some spirited rides on backroads every once in a while. But wasnt sure if there were special stipulations for the front suspension because of the auto-leveling lights
