Pescatarian death history enthusiasts

NSFWActivities

Hey there!! My partner and I will be visiting your beautiful city from Feb 9th - Feb 12th. I am fascinated by cultural traditions/histories around death and mourning. Are there any specific cemeteries you would recommend for interesting histories, or practices? We’re planning to just walk around the cemeteries, but also wanted to take a tour with Save Our Cemeteries. The Pharmacy Museum also looks very down my alley. Not so much the Museum of Death, I’m not looking for true crime, but moreso the sociological/community side of preparing, caring for, and remembering the dead.

Also, I am pescatarian, and would very much like to try as much food as possible while there. So far I am eyeing N7 and Sweet Lorraine’s (for their vegan gumbo). I did look through the pinned list of recs, but wondering if there are any restaurants you’d specifically recommend for a pescatarian. We’d like to get away from the busiest parts of town for some of our trip, we know there will be crowds there for Mardi Gras.

Thank you in advance!!
