Is reaching a 2000 Blitz rating on Chess.com without formal study impressive?

I have a friend who has been playing chess for about 10 years, only online.

He has never done any kind of formal study: no books, courses, or coaching. At most, he watches some YouTube videos when he has time and plays games on the platform with some regularity.

Even so, he managed to reach a 2000 Blitz rating.

In your opinion, is this really impressive, or relatively common for someone who has been playing for that long?
