Need some advice

I was in a band with some busy I've been playing with for like 4 years and I left cuz the lead guitarist has some SERIOUS ego problems. Like damn, he wanted me to join a band with my ex and i was obviously NOT comfortable with it and he bitched about how my current gf doesn't understand that it's all "professionalism" for WEEKS and did I mention that he only wanted to join the band w my ex cuz he likes her?😭 Hes also really good at guitar and that REALLY boosts his ego and he kinda treats me and the bassist like we're lower than him. But then again, Ive been friends with hima since I was like 6 and basically started my music journey with him. I doubt HES gonna apologise so should I apologise?
