We need to change our dhaqan when finding a future spouse 🧐

Our dhaqan for finding a future spouse has its pros and cons. Pros being that compared to ajaanibka no one is forced and most choose their own future partner.

But we are often neglecting the downside of the un-islamic dating culture that has emerged. Some parents are even expecting their daughters to find their future husband. Instead of the parents and especially the fathers taking the responsibility for their daughter’s marriage and finding a suitable husband. Hearing parents say “dee nin noo keen” is so irresponsible.

We are in need of changing this pattern and parents becoming responsible especially for their daughters. Don’t understand how we made it so caadi 🤔
