what can come out of you post subtotal hysterectomy?

this might be a really dumb question so please don’t make fun of me: if you keep your cervix, how come you don’t just leak abdominal fluid indefinitely post op (since I‘m gathering a vaginal cuff would be full sown shut but your cervix can and does open)?
