Wheels stolen

Woke up two days ago to all four wheels stolen off of my 2024 Camry TRD. Police report was filed and the car is at the dealership to be repaired. I had the wheel locks on that came with it when I purchased it new but apparently those mean nothing these days. I don’t live in a high crime area so this was really shocking. I only recently joined this sub and I had absolutely no idea this was such a common issue with Camrys until I started researching.

I’m curious of other’s experiences as far as insurance goes. They are trying to give me either aftermarket or remanufactured wheels and while I understand that’s standard procedure with insurance, it’s pretty frustrating to think I likely won’t get the same OEM wheels that were stolen off of it unless I pay the difference. If I’m stuck with aftermarket/remanufactured, how do they truly compare to OEM? Would it be wise to just suck it up and pay the difference to get OEM wheels?

I’m also open to any advice on how to prevent this in the future. I read some posts in here about Advanced wheel locks and I’m definitely interested in them. It’s clear that nothing is truly bulletproof but some quality defense is better than none at all, especially if I can get OEM wheels put back on it.
