idk how to feel abt this album first listen

(MY PERSONAL OPINION) Look obviously its the first day this album has dropped. production is great on the album, the features for the most part are carefully placed onto each Song, rather than just slapping an artists verse onto a song. its experimental, and rocky is pushing boundaries here with some of the cuts on this lp. the project also had large variety of musical pallets, and it can be overwhelming on a first listen, but it mostly does more good than harm in the long run. sometimes it does feel like when he is creating his experimental cuts they are kind of basic tho for the genre, and for someone who wanted an album with a focused track list they would be slightly disappointed. but overall everything seems great.

I have 2 problems tho. first of all other than feeling hyped I dont experience strong emotions when listening to the album. and in my personal opinion, rocky had lowkey lost that cockiness and overconfidence and swag in his voice. idk how to put it to words but I feel like he's lost it. and obv he's a father now and publicly said that he wasnt gonna do those flashy lyrics as much, but like even on previous cuts where he wasnt as flashy he still had that swag in his voice. and personally for me I feel like that for him that was like curry's 3 pt shot yk. and thats what honestly gave me a reason to play rocky regularly.

he did say he stopped smoking so that prolly had sum to do with it, and it is the first day listening. but idk bro. he showed glimpses of it in a couple of songs but not long enough personally. dont get me wrong the album is still good, but that factor that he had in his previous songs gave me a reason to play it everyday damn near, so idk if ill find the right vibe to put this on after a couple of months. but yea definitely a different opinion compared to everyone else so dont crucify me for it lmao.
