I want to preface this by saying that these messages are long so I’m sorry for that. I 23F have a very complicated relationship with my entire family but mostly my dad because I don’t view him as a victim. My relationship with them all of them has been filled with abuse (physically and emotionally) aside from my mom’s girlfriend because she’s they just got back together again after 10 years. My father isn’t innocent and he abandoned me until I reached out after I had my daughter, when I was 16, my psychiatrist called CPS on him, which resulted in me getting kicked out from his house (he kicked me out) and staying with my mom for 4 years. My mother isn’t innocent either, she abandoned us after their divorce and we were pretty young, it was also for a couple years too. I’m stressed to the max about the situation and I need to know if I’m overreacting and if I’m wrong. I’ve chosen to kinda be Switzerland in this situation and just blame them both for their divorce (My dad did sleep with that women I mentioned so he cheated even if he decided to stay with my mom) because cheating causes external issues wether I feel like he wants to recognize them or not. I also don’t believe that one parent is a better parent here. He called me after all these messages and we talked but he basically said the same things. He told me that he’s never be able to get over how he feels my mother parented us so he couldn’t be in the same room as her even if he misses important events and he said he wouldn’t be mad at us for inviting both and he not show up. I’ll answer any questions regarding the situation but I’d like to know if I was wrong or if AIO.

AIO for how I responded to my father?
