How do you think integrative clinical decision support (combining conventional and functional medicine) will shape the future of healthcare?
I’ve been exploring the idea of Integrative Clinical Decision Support (CDS) — systems that combine the strengths of conventional medicine (evidence-based guidelines, diagnostics, protocols) with the deeper, root-cause approach of functional medicine.
Conventional medicine is great for diagnosing and managing clearly defined diseases, but it can fall short when patients present with chronic, multi-system, or unclear conditions. Functional medicine fills some of those gaps with a more personalized and systems-based approach — but it can also be time-consuming and inconsistent without the right structure.
I’m curious what others think about this.
