Medicare Part D Is More Confusing Than It Looks

I’ve noticed that a lot of people think Medicare Part D is just prescription coverage, but once you start looking at plans, it gets complicated fast. Different formularies, preferred pharmacies, tiers, and copays can make the same medication cost very different amounts depending on the plan.

What helped me was focusing on current prescriptions first instead of the monthly premium. Sometimes the cheapest plan on paper ends up costing more over the year. If you’re reviewing Part D options now or soon, slowing down and comparing carefully really matters.
