As an extra bonus, below is an extended "back of the book" blurb for "She took What?"
Feebee wasn’t meant to exist.
She was printed alone aboard a dying SolDiri Seed-Arc. Raised in darkness, by an embedded intelligence that spoke in doctrines of balance, of restraint, and of stillness.
In the wreckage of ancient technology, she learned to survive without witnesses, to fight without spectacle, and to listen for meaning in silence.
Her earliest years are told later in the ORIGINS chapters (29 -> ?). These trace how a single child, guided by quiet systems and stranger forces, became something the universe had been preparing for long before humanity knew it needed her.
When the drifting Seed-Arc is finally discovered, Feebee is folded into humanity’s black operations apparatus.
She is under SSOCOM authority and Major Chen. He is a commander whose instinct for avoiding danger repeatedly places Feebee in precisely the wrong place at the right time.
She becomes a tool for problems that must be solved without acknowledgement.
Chen takes credit. Feebee does the work.
The story began with the FUTURES chapters (1 - 28). Here, Feebee is deployed as a quiet solution: to first-contact incidents that never make the news, to shadow wars that officially never occurred; to assassinations and interventions designed to leave no trace at all.
She does not conquer. She resolves.
She moves with a singular companion: Hissy, a massive contrabass serpent forged from solar metal and SolDiri iconography. It’s an instrument whose sound carries memory, resonance, and consequence.
Through Hissy, Feebee shapes stillness into action against the Drexari, an ancient, disciplined species bound by clade, myth, and bone-memory. Feebee chooses restraint where others would escalate.
Wars end quietly. Victories leave no monuments.
Humanity survives without ever knowing how close it came to not surviving at all.
Threaded through both arcs is something watching.
The Long Quiet; a corrective intelligence aligned with balance, moves in opposition to a flawed SolDiri force known only as the Beast.
Feebee is never told her role in this conflict. She is simply nudged into motion, again and again, as history subtly tilts around her. She puts it down to luck.
This is a slow-burn military science fiction series about competence without bravado, power without spectacle, and the cost of being humanity’s quiet answer to cosmic imbalance.
