FOUR-STROKES
A four-stroke engine is the heart of most superbikes. It converts fuel into motion through four repeating cycles, happening thousands of times per minute. Each cycle depends on the one before it- miss one, and nothing works.
It has the intake stroke. High-performance intake systems control airflow with extreme precision to maximize power in a superbike.
It has the compression or pressure refinement stroke. High compression ratios create explosive potential, but only if everything is sealed and aligned perfectly in a superbike.
It has the power stroke (combustion/release). This stroke delivers massive horsepower and torque in a controlled burst.
Finally, it has the exhaust stroke, letting go. Tuned exhaust systems remove waste efficiently so the next cycle can begin cleanly.
