$500 USD per week. The pricing has crossed into completely ridiculous territory.

Question / Discussion

👉 This isn’t hate. It’s a real concern.

Replit is a great product. It has improved a lot across agents, tooling, and overall experience.
But the pricing has crossed into completely ridiculous territory.

We’re talking about charges close to $500 USD per week from what feels like fairly normal agent usage while building and iterating. This isn’t massive enterprise scale. This is individual builders and small teams trying to create.

The issue isn’t paying for value.
The issue is that the cost is unpredictable, disproportionate, and hard to control. In a matter of days, you can burn what used to be a monthly budget.

When using a tool starts to feel like a constant financial risk, something is broken.
No matter how good the product is, you can’t build sustainably with this level of uncertainty.

So I want to ask the community:

👉 What alternatives are you using right now?
👉 What would you recommend for continuing to build without spending thousands per month?
👉 For non-technical builders: how are you prototyping, using AI, and shipping without costs spiraling out of control?
