Filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General and BOLI
Drive for Uber on the side
Before November Uber issued multiple payouts for reduced tips - until recently they stopped doing it. Then the 'tip guarantee" rolled out
I had multiple orders that were "tip guarantee" that failed to process.
Payment requests for these trips were denied even though Uber's verbiage specifically states "In cases where there is a change, Uber will cover the difference"
Got tired of getting no pay for contracted work completed so I notified the Oregon Attorney General. They were unable to take action so I submitted a grievance with BOLI for unpaid wages
Things that I have learned:
Uber appears to have a threshold of how many pay corrections they can issue - or they stopped paying out their drivers for contracted trips entirely
Uber will claim the customer added no tip to "tip gaurantee" trips - and use this as an excuse to not pay you out
Sending an email use to work well but now it is more likely they will deny your pay adjustment
Calling for a pay adjustment has a 15 day limitation according to the service rep I spoke too
