Induction experiences
I'm onto pregnancy #2 and considering my birth options. I'm a researcher into everything.
My first child I had by elective c-section. This was personal choice, I was terrified of giving birth vaginally and went with it. In hindsight I was uninformed about vaginal deliveries and read mostly bad experiences on reddit.
For 2 years I have lived with regret that I didn't get to experience labour and vowed that I will have my 2nd by VBAC or at the very least TOLAC, with the view of having a section if there's a sniff of anything going West.
I'm weighing up the pros and cons of induction. I have a lot of mum friends who had their babies around the same time I had mine, and when asked about their induction experience, it was mostly negative. My closest friends little boy ended up stuck and had to spend a week in the NICU after.
I would like to go into labour without much medical intervention, a sweep at the most, on the proviso that everything is OK with baby. To labour as long as possible at home before heading to the hospital (which is conveniently a 1 minute drive up the road)
I guess my questions here are:
- If you opted for the same plan, how was your experience?
- If you had an induction, what was your experience?
