What is it? A variety of free rewards claimable by speaking to region-specific NPCs for the relevant Achievement Diary. Quantity of rewards usually scale with completion tier. Rewards include: Tokkul, potato cacti, pineapples, flax, slime pit teleports, pure essence, random crap from the rug merchants, free conversion of soda ash to molten glass, free charges of high alchemy and run restoration, planks, instantly converted bonemeal, low level food, logs, and Necromancy supplies. While not an achievement diary reward, I'll also lump in the free sand from Bert into this category.

How frequent is it? Once per day.

How good is the XP? No direct XP.

How good are the other rewards? Most of these are worth a pittance, 20k gp or less. When's the last time you ever needed 200 flax? Do you even know who Geoffrey is?

I personally found some value in quickly turning wyvern bones into bonemeal for super prayer potions. Having Tokkul available is useful for Fight Kiln and Zuk, buffing up your obsidian armor further. I visited the Weird Old Man for potato cacti frequently as other sources were difficult or less convenient, which kept me stocked on an overload component. The logs from Coeden are helpful - I stocked my 1000 elder logs for War's fire exclusively with this method before the Woodcutting rebalance. The Necromancy supplies from Lupe are also useful, being the most modern addition to the list.

How much pressure is there to not miss out? Low to medium pressure. None of these item claims are so valuable that you're going to slap yourself if you forgot a day. You may find little to no reason to ever claim some of these rewards, but others are useful to easily accumulate over time.

What kind of interactivity is there with other players? None, save what Diary tasks require the aid of others.

How could it improve? Quantity of rewards could be increased. Outdated rewards could be swapped with different items. Items could be sent directly to the bank without requiring the player to come pick them up each day (Old School does this for Bert's sand once you finish the elite Kandarin diary). The Command Centre in Fort Forinthry could be updated to have a 'collect all Achievement Diary rewards' function. The Lunar spell NPC contact could allow for the remote collection of items.

How could this be changed away from a daily activity? Items could amass up to a cap, like claiming the free voyage supplies on Waiko. The item claim could be increased but have a longer cooldown, becoming a weekly.

Do you think it SHOULD be changed away from a daily activity? Honestly you could take most of these out of the game and a lot of players wouldn't even notice. I think all of these item rewards should automatically be sent to your bank once you reach the Elite tier - no daily interaction required. Given that these rewards are freely given from the region's citizens as a show of approval for all the work and exploration you've done in their land, I don't think them going out of their way to bring it to you is unreasonable.

I don't think the quantity or type of items needs to be changed. Whatever new thing you started handing out would drop in price and become less desirable; it's fine if some of these old rewards are dead content. But I certainly wouldn't complain if I got twice the amount of pure essence each day.

Your reward for completing the most difficult tier of an achievement diary should not be another chore added to your daily routine.
