Genuine Question: Canada... anything changed in your preps.
I know prepping is usually seen as more of a U.S. thing and more (Small C) conservative, but as a Canadian I can’t help noticing how quiet things feel right now—during what would normally be major warning signs for almost any other country. So hoping other Canuks will speak up.
Since the new U.S. administration started openly talking about threats to sovereignty, I’ve been paying a lot more attention. I’m curious what other Canadians are doing.
So far, my focus has been on nailing down the basics:
• Saving as much money as I reasonably can
• Getting into better physical shape
• Reducing dependence on cars
• Strengthening community ties
• Stocking up on food and water
Right now, I see economic hardship as the most likely risk—whether through economic pressure, instability, or something worse. Because of that, keeping income stable is a big priority, and I’m avoiding major purchases.
Is anyone else shifting their preps lately? What are you focusing on?
