No sound on Linux? (Bazzite)

I for the life of me cannot get this game to run any sound streams to bazzite.

The only proton version that “works” is 8.0-5 but while I have sound in that version, I literally can’t log in because of a “backend error”

So now I am stuck. Play the game with no sound?

Stare at the menu screen with sound?

Help.
