AITJ For Getting Upset At My Sister When She Hit Me?

TL;DR.

My sister hit me when I said no to a hug after a long trip to Texas. she's 20, I'm 15.

Okay to start off, me (F15) and my sister (f20) have always clashed against each other. It's not abnormal for siblings to fight, but they should never hit.

I was sitting in the living room, probably eating a Slime Licker (Not sponsored), on my phone. Me and my family of 5 have just gotten back from Texas due to one of our family members passing away. The trip was short, but incredibly stressful.

I am a person who gets overwhelmed by too much contact, and I never want to snap at someone for simply wanting a kiss, or a hug. So I will always tell them I can't do it right now, I'm not in a good headspace.

So for nine hours of being in and out of a cramped car, being exhausted from lack of good sleep, constant touch, feeling sick, and missing home, I was struggling to hold it together.

Once we got to the Airbnb though, I managed to decompress and relax some. I met with family I haven't seen in a long time, and felt disconnected.

The next day was about the viewing and shopping.

I met even more people I didn't know, and a lot of loud noise. I had moved to a back room where I ended up crying some because I'm super anti-social and missed home. Not to mention, I was in VERY uncomfortable clothing.

After we went back to the Airbnb, I barely interacted with anyone.

The next day was the funeral. I'll keep this short, family shared stories, we saw her get buried, we ate. Then we went to this movie theater, arcade, bar mix. We spent some fun there, and everyone had a good time.

Alright, here's went things start to go wrong.

We go back to the Airbnb, packed up a bit. Now this is important, I had a big nose bleed. My grandma helped me out, then we all went to bed. I woke up, helped pack everything else along with my family, then we went out to eat with more family.

After that, it about an eight hour car ride home. I was home sick, tired and was full of guilt and self doubt.

Well, we get home, clean up messes from our cats, feed the cats, feed the dog. Stuff like that.

I felt like I needed to redeem myself for acting distant during the whole trip, so I cleaned the entire house. So no one would have to do it the next day, and they all could sleep in.

I cleaned the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and the laundry room. I couldn't clean up my bedroom after because I got a very large nose bleed, again, and had to call my brother (M18) to help me.

Fast forwards, I'm on the couch. And my sister comes down. Now as I've said, I don't want to be touched sometimes. She tries to hug me.

I say "Chole(Not her actual name), no, please no." She still pursues to hug me. I push back a bit, and use a firmer tone. "Chole, no. I do not want to be touched right now."

My sister then smacks me on my head and says, "I just wanted a hug." She wants into the kitchen and says "What is wrong with you?" I just start crying. Even now thinking about it makes me want to cry. It really hurt.

My brother comes down and asks "What's happening??" He was probably confused because he heard my sister asking that question. I try to explain what happened, but my sister interrupted me and called me a crybaby, for having an emotional response to pain.

Then me and my sister start arguing because I bring u p that this was probably going to make me have another nose bleed, and she says it won't.

well like 2 minutes later, I get up and say I'm going to my room. I was trying to defuse the situation, because I hate arguments. She followed me. And kept screaming at me about the nose bleed, now suddenly concerned, saying that "If you're having nosebleeds like this, you could die!" Which is not true.

I called my mom , and she helped defuse the whole thing. Then talked to me and my sister separately.

I felt really guilty that I just hadn't given her a hug, so, Am I The Jerk?
