What’s our next move?

Dear Fellow Redditors. Here’s my OpEd on the unfortunate death of a good person.

I’m seeking a civil discussion on this matter

I am not Democrat or Republican. I !did not vote for Trump. And his ICE assault on well-meaning people is a huge over reach.

I support our 1st Amendment right of Freedom of Speech which includes the right of a peaceful assembly.

Which permits citizens to observe and record law enforcement in one’s community.

I respect the anger and passion of the people protesting. I would be pissed too.

What makes me sad. Is the bravado of people engaging witt law enforcement. Because it never ends well.

And in both recent deaths in Minneapolis. I would NOT have shot either one of them.

I support the whistle blowing, the yelling, and recording of their activity.

Yet we’re dealing with an unknown, poorly trained, violent entity. Kind of like unpredictable predators in the zoo or the wild.

Therefore. Why risk one’s life by wading into the street with one’s auto? Or in person?

Isn’t it smarter to stay on the “sidelines”?
