what to do if a friend keeps disappearing and reappearing?

So, to give context, I had this one friend from two years ago, we met, we talked, we were really good friends until one day he doesn't text me and someone tells me that he was hacked, i ask him if it's true and he says that he thought so too but apparently he was tricked. but then the next day he unfriended me, and discord said that you can't send your texts to this person anymore. two years later, he refriends everyone and i ask him what all of that was about and he tells me that he was going through a tough mental period, so he wanted time off of the game he said was toxic and unfriended everyone, and i totally understood that so we became friends again. this time best friends. we talked and talked and one time his brother took over his chat and yadayada he got it back and we started texting again, and then one day one of my friends who was also his friend told me that he had unadded everyone, but not me so i asked him why, and he said that this guy who was his friend kept betraying him and spreading rumors, so he unfriended everyone from that game but me, and he said it was cause i was "too cool and too kind to unfriend, never gonna make that mistake again" until one day i get this text from him, "this is _____ friend? brother?, so ima take over his account so like cya? hes gone, bye bye now, ima delete this discord, cya soz bro" and I couldn't send messages again and the next day it said the account was deleted.
