Missing groschen!! [KCD1]

So im about 10 hours in when im at the millers with 3k groschen from selling and killing and looting and selling, repeat building up my money to get better horse and weapons. because i want my Henry to be good and never do anything “wrong” if i have the choice. But I save my game at the millers my entire 3k is gone. I’m devastated. Is this some new game breaking bug? I beat KCD2 “greatest game of all time to me” and now doing 1 and experience this… any solutions? Old saves are ruined as well, and I don’t want to restart the entire game but if this secret money “bug” thief is gonna target me again.
