Anyone here get into STEM grad programs with a 3.0-3.5 gpa ?
I have a 3.4 gpa and I want to get into an engineering (bio/electrical/molecular) or bioinformatics PhD program but I feel like my gpa is holding me down. I have research experience with 1 conference lightning abstract and 1 publication as a co-author. I also have lots of research symposium posters and presentations I've made/given. I am trying right now to get get my current PI to vouch for me when I apply at my University to work in his lab but I feel uncertain how much that will compensate for my gpa.
Any advice is appreciated
