First time skiing - worth doing lesson in sub optimal conditions?

I’m heading to Jackson for a work trip this week and thought it might be fun to get a ski lesson and see what it’s all about. Will the lack of snow make the lesson less worthwhile or is it still worth doing? Being my first time, I can’t imagine that I’ll be exploring much more than the bunny slope. Thanks in advance.
