Is 4K 144Hz over HDMI 2.1 actually possible, or am I being bamboozled?

I've always operated under the assumption that HDMI 2.1 on TVs caps out at 4K 120Hz since that is the standard for PS5 and Xbox, and that anything higher strictly required DisplayPort.

I am currently looking at the specs for the Hisense E7 Pro, and it explicitly claims to support 144Hz native output via the HDMI port.

Is this actually a native refresh rate that a PC can recognize, or is it just some motion rate or interpolation marketing fluff? If it is real, does the HDMI 2.1 spec actually have the physical bandwidth to push 4K @ 144Hz without forcing chroma subsampling?

I want to use this as a PC monitor, so I'm worried that even if it hits 144Hz, it might drop to 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 to save bandwidth, making text look blurry.

Has anyone verified if full 4:4:4 RGB is possible at this refresh rate over HDMI?

Thanks for the sanity check.
