So the pics tell most of the story, but for those not familiar. I was attempting a Sardinia-Piedmont run for a unified Italy and one year in, after trading France its claimed two provinces for Corsica and a favor. The next week Austria-Hungry joined a diplomatic play I was in... with the sole war goal of conquering Piedmont. I survived the war with pretty much just my independence and two islands. I reassessed, and decided to just try to go endgame for the fun of it.

This caused for a wild game where I became a 2 island great power in the 1860s with a monarchy to corporatist without revolution government transition that was populous driven. Because my constitutional monarchy government was somehow inadequate... and in two years went from Monarch to a corporatist government and cooperative ownership economy, before Marx even was an agitator. Which becomes weirder when my government was 50%+ trade union.

So anyways, I had for the era unmatched SOL, economy, effectively no upper class and was only now able to be threatened by Britain or a dual power navy. So we just went for it. An while the Italy unification glitched out because of some chaos, Italy was formed but not unified in the entirety. An thus became what was the final goal.

Two islands in the Mediterranean finished the game as a great power, and the Roman Republic completely unified into one Power-bloc that was run by Sardinia. Which I self named Medisla.
