So d*mn mad. Want to post my epic fantasy as a serial... But I'm now I'm freaked.

A couple writers in my writers group have been pinged on AI detectors. They're told they need to check the created/helped by AI box or be de-platformed. They didn't use AI.

I was like, weird, but that won't happen to me. I've been writing for years.

OH, HOW WRONG I WAS.

Pro Tip: AI Detectors hate epic fantasy. They hate heavy description, sensory control, vocabulary at an 8th grade level and above, extensively polished and revised work, and god help you if you have a strong sense of pace.

AI Detectors punish writers who've actually learned the craft!!

My fantasy got clicked at 70% AI on the site originality.ai. I put in some paragraphs from my trad pub mystery novel from 2015 and that flagged at 98% AI. AI didn't even exist to the gen. pop at that time. WTF?!

To add insult to injury, that novel is one from a series that's involved in an AI plagiarism suit.

The idea I now have to PROVE my own writing is not AI is beyond infuriating!!!!!

I tried two other sites, they gave varying AI results, but none were zero. Apparently from what I'm reading, our only recourse as writers is to use time-sequencing draft-locking Google docs? Yeah, Google, who's already stealing everything we write...

FFS. My word docs (not on the cloud) number in the thousands for a single book. I write on paper too. The 'suggestion' from these crap detection sites is that I keep all my paper and actually upload photos of my handwritten work. F-that.

It's beyond stupid. Writers don't make much as it is. Now some low-level coder gets to decide how 'humans shud rite gud?' FFS.

Type in paragraphs from novels you love. Shocking at how much good writing hits AI markers. INSANITY.
