Need some help. S&S 50 state cp3 and delete

I’m putting a delete kit on a friends 2015 LML. He previously had a lift pump and the S&S cp3 50 state legal/california pump put in. We are getting the pipe through diesel dudes and I have sent them an email letting them know what is on the truck. My question for anyone who has done this before did the pump require tuning? I have the exact same truck with the fleece CP3 that i installed and did not need to tune anything. Thank you
