Namaste and greetings to everyone planning a trip to our beautiful state.

We’ve all seen the recent headlines and the stern warnings issued by the state government, including the PWD Minister. These aren't just empty words; they are a response to a growing sentiment among locals who feel that the peace of their home is being threatened.

As moderators of this community, we want to bridge the gap. We want you to enjoy the fresh air and the views, but we must address the rising "ruckus culture" that is causing friction between visitors and residents.

\*\*1. The Spirit of "Dev Bhoomi"\*\*

Himachal Pradesh isn't just a "vacation spot"—it is Dev Bhoomi (Land of the Gods). Our culture is built on a foundation of silence, spirituality, and deep-seated respect for the environment. When tourists engage in public brawls, play blaring music in quiet valleys, or act aggressively toward locals, it creates a deep sense of hurt and disharmony.

\*\*2. Your Behavior is Your Identity\*\*

Please remember that when you travel, you are an ambassador for your own state.

The "One Bad Apple" Effect: A single act of hooliganism by a few individuals reflects poorly on their entire home state.

Don't let your visit be remembered for a viral video of a traffic argument or a public nuisance report. Let it be remembered for your appreciation of our culture.

\*\*3. Road Manners & Safety\*\*

Our hills are narrow and life-saving arteries for locals.

Avoid "Hooligan Driving": Hanging out of windows, blocking narrow passes for "reels," and reckless overtaking doesn't just annoy people—it puts lives at risk.

Parking: Use designated spots. Blocking a local's driveway or a village path can prevent medical emergencies from being addressed.

\*\*4. Strict Enforcement is Here\*\*

The authorities have been clear: "Behave or face the consequences." Police presence has been scaled up in Shimla, Manali, and Kasol. Expect zero tolerance for:

Public drinking and rowdiness.

Altercations with local shopkeepers or taxi drivers.

Littering and environmental damage.

\*\*A Final Word to Our Visitors\*\*

We take immense pride in our hospitality (Atithi Devo Bhava). We want you to leave with peace in your heart, not a court summons or a heavy fine. Treat these mountains like a temple, and the people like your own family.

If you see fellow travelers creating a commotion, we encourage you to lead by example. Let’s keep Himachal the peaceful sanctuary it was always meant to be.

Safe travels, and see you in the hills! 🌲✨
