I can't anymore!

I can’t take it anymore.

Two months ago I adopted a kitten from the street. I was told he was super sweet and affectionate, a well-behaved and intelligent cat. I knew he came from the streets and that didn’t scare me too much because I’ve had other former strays before.

He’s 8 months old.

From the moment he arrived, we noticed he was extremely food-obsessed. He’s not cuddly at all like they said — he constantly bites us. He’s not aggressive, but he’s way too energetic.

The problem is that my partner and I feel incredibly guilty because we’re always telling him off! Nothing seems to work, not even talking to him calmly.

He eats anything he finds, even to the point of making himself sick or literally burning himself on the stove once (we don’t have a door separating the kitchen). And on top of that, he constantly steals food from my resident cat, even though we bought a SureFeed bowl (which he managed to open at least 10 times!!!!!)

I feel awful even saying this, but I honestly can’t stand him anymore. He’s starting to annoy me and I hate feeling this way.

I’ve always adopted and rescued street cats, but I have to admit that this one is really pushing me to my limits and I can’t stop feeling guilty about it.

I don’t know what to do.
