Media player for ripped media
I have a lot of old dvd and blue ray.
I decided to rip them as iso (eg, an exact disk image, where i can virtually navigate the menus).
The bigger the library, the bigger the storage. But thats ok, storage is cheap these days. I can store tons of TB relatively cheaply.
But what I need—and never looked into until now, to no avail—is some sort of a way for my tv entertainment system to display and play all this content. Basically, a personalized (and locally stored) Netflix.
So far, every video ive seen online is 20 minutes of coding. I want none of that.
I just want a very user-friendly device that can “see” all of my media, display it in a pretty way (like Netflix GUI) and play it.
Ideally, all this data will be stored on a home server for access throughout the whole house. But I think that is the easy part, is it not?
Any ideas?
