Choosing Team based on Feelings - Have you done it too?

I started playing Legends ZA about a month ago, and I had already thought about 5 out of 6 of my team members for the game. I had a filler for the 6th slot but I didn’t feel like it was meant to be a long term member.

Recently I accessed Wild Zone 14 and was constantly getting attacked by the Alpha Excadrill. It was extremely annoying when trying to grab items, but I managed to whittle it down and caught it. I was ready to just let it stay in my PC but then… something about it spoke to me.

He was huge, but he somehow also felt like a little guy who I wanted to hug. He was way bigger than average Excadrills, but he was the perfect height alongside my other mons. I appreciated that his stats are good (HP, speed and attack) and had a helpful nature. I never used an Excadrill before and hadn’t planned.

But honestly, the stats didn’t matter/wasn’t the biggest part for me. For some weird reason after catching him, I loved that little mole man. Just seeing him as part of my team felt SO right, with no logical explanations. I named him Moliére and made him mine :)

Have you guys ever seen a Pokemon, thought you’d never use it, but then it just takes one look and you know it’s the right one?
