What good are rallies and protests

American style protests don’t even disrupt the economy on a level to force changes. Democratic lawmakers don’t have spines or balls and these Republicans aren’t like the ones I grew up seeing. The Supreme Court is cooked and won’t stop anything. What good are protests no matter how many people show up when the current administration, military and LEO don’t care and just laugh about it amongst themselves? It’s not changing the minds of anyone in power or even other maga voters. I see endless pro-Ice and pro-Trump comments under posts from various news outlets and it’s like they have the memory capacity of a goldfish.

People say “oh this will be over with the next election cycle” but what makes them think that? I guess I’m hoping someone in here can restore some hope in me for the future while bearing in mind that the constitution and laws don’t seem to be something we can rely on. From the perspective of a naturalized citizen, I’m not feeling very optimistic .. I wish the right would understand that we didn’t get to take our citizenship for granted by just being born here and we truly love this country.
