Coworker with a baby

My coworker, also kind of my supervisor, has a young baby that is with her or in her background or obviously interacting with her in our every interaction, whether it’s staff meeting or supervision. Not a big kid but not an infant, either, probably old enough to talk to her.

What’s the norm here? Is it normal to have young children around in both casual and clinical discussions with colleagues?

I am sure she does not have her child join therapy sessions, but I am just wondering why is her baby always with her when she is at work?
