I think my W-2s got screwed up.

I got my W-2 in the mail today. I was so ready, but there were two. I thought I could just do it myself so I got to filing. I got onto FreeTaxUSA, hoping I could just get it all done, but didn't finish because it feels off.

I worked at a job during 2025 until I resigned effective 11-14-25. My next job didn't pay me until 1-2-26 so that one doesn't matter this year. I moved from Indiana to Colorado. My last check was received on 11-21-25, after I had begun to reside in Colorado. I tried changing my address before leaving that job in Indiana. I think that's maybe where I screwed up.

Here's the fun part. Those two W-2s are very different. One of these W-2 forms lists my Indiana wages and taxes (boxes 16-20), but boxes 1-14 are blank.

The other W-2 form lists Colorado for some state earnings, but no state tax nor anything for local earnings, tax, or locality (boxes 17-20). This form does list my wages for boxes 1-14.

I've emailed my former employer about this, asking if a corrected W-2 is required.

I can't enter the two W-2s as separate because I can't leave box 1 blank and I can't leave the Colorado taxes empty.

This will probably mean I have to have professional help, but maybe someone here has an answer? It's probably the wrong move to combine these W-2s, though I can't understand where they got the amount for Colorado earnings (box 16). It's not the amount reflected on that last paystub (gross minus pre-tax deductions).
