The Cordial Paradox

The Cordial Paradox (also known as The Lime Paradox or Bickford's Clusterfuck^([2])) is the phenomenon in the cordial tier list^([1]) wherein Cottee's lime cordial appears much more highly than Bickford's lime, but lower than Bickford's lemon lime and bitters, in which lime is the most noticeable flavour according to cordial authorities^([1]). Historically, Cottee's lime and Bickford's lemon lime and bitters both regularly appear in S tier, while Bickford's lime is B tier due to having a just ok flavour with not too much sweetness in what cordial sommelier Jacques Mehoff has called "Nice But What's The Point mixology"^([6]).
