Forget complex female characters, people can't handle female villains(Book Alicent)
I mean this moreso in the sense that green faction in universe have some goofy ass pathetic men like Borros and Unwin, or some ehh characters like Jasper Wylde(master of laws on the green council wouldn't blame you if you forget he exists) and Criston Cole just being a raging sexist hating Rhaenyra, but I feel like book Alicent is frequently bought up the most to justify her changes in the show because some fans believe the book version of her is badly written yet other men on the council, or the green side(excluding her children) don't face as much critique despite being similar to her in their goals and beliefs. Also small correction that I'm too lazy to fix on the image, Criston Cole joined the Kingsguard in 105 AC so Rhaenyra was like 8ish.
