i had to wear a hijab for my uni graduation

(20F) as the title says, during my graduation last month i had to wear a hijab and a dress that typically isn’t my style. i initially didn’t even want to attend graduation because i knew id have to wear it, and my mum was set on making me attend and have my whole family be there. basically throughout the 3 years i attended university, i would sneak out without the hijab. so during the whole ceremony i felt embarrassed and just sat in my seat for the whole 4 hours, missed out on taking photos or greeting some of the friends i made at university. what was supposed to be a fun day in my life was just miserable. even tho its been a month im still thinking about how this experience and many other experiences were robbed from me. at my grown age im still forced to wear this headpiece smh, it’s going to take a long time until i get a job and a car to move out :(
