Item scarcity in tamriel

so I was doing some research and found out there was an official septim replica modeled after the Skyrim one, the replica was being sold for around $15-$20 before they stopped being produced this means that one septim was worth 15-20 dollars and the apples in Skyrim (if you haven't modified your speech skill tree) is charged for 3 septims or $45-$60 per apple and all items are priced as though they are being charged USD currency even though the items would cost 15-20 times more in USD, so I think there is some sort of scarcity going on with the materials to make or farm these items which shows how unstable the market is in tamriel
