I really liked this girl, but she couldn't love me, I let her go, now I robber her of my Friendship, did I do the right thing?

I 22M really liked this girl 22M, and we became very very good friends in a very short time, but I had other feeling, it was brought up earlier as well but I took time then, thinking it is very early to draw conclusions. It came up again and it was made pretty clear by her that she couldn't love me, but assured I will always be by your side.

I knew if things remained the same it would ultimately hurt me, so decided to let go and maintain distance i told her we won't talk again after today and in an instance every we had was reduced to dust, but i now i feel I've robber her of my friendship, if that is so, I need to make things right, but idk if I've done the wrong thing or if its right.
