We’re both “Wow!” people stuck in “Meh” marriages.

From the outside, things look pretty good. We’re competent, responsible, reliable people. We’ve built meaningful lives. We take care of our families and show up for our friends. We do our best. We really do. But somehow, somewhere along the way, things slipped out of alignment. Not in any way that most people notice, but underneath, it’s unmistakable.

What else should we know about each other?

I’m a smart, emotionally available, accomplished guy. You’re a witty, winsome, wily woman unafraid of alliteration or catching feelings. Neither of us is everyone’s cup of tea! We share an abundance of passion, energy, and curiosity about the world with nowhere to put it. We’re both cynics and optimists—which to some might seem like a contradiction, but for us it’s simply a survival skill.

I’ve been here before. I’ve posted a few times. I’ve also responded to my share of posts. I find the scrum and noise and clamor of it all kind of exhausting. I’m not looking to connect with dozens of people (although I’m sure they’re all quite lovely). I’m looking for just one person. My person. Maybe it’s you?
