I’m a 3D designer and a book lover. Spent months perfecting this "Orven 5" book-stack planter for my shelf!
Happy Saturday! I wanted to share my latest project that combines my two passions: literature and indoor gardening.

I’ve always worried about putting plants on my bookshelves because of potential water damage, so I designed this "Orven 5" stack with some functional details:

• Integrated Legs: I added minimalist angled legs to give it a mid-century accent and, more importantly, to improve airflow underneath the planter to keep the books safe and plants healthy.
• Customizable: Each of the 5 books can be a different color. I’m currently experimenting with over 70 shades, from matte tones to these glossy Silk PLAs that have a soft metallic sheen.
• Sustainability: It’s crafted from eco-friendly PLA bioplastic, so it’s lightweight but durable.
• Drainage: I made versions with and without drainage holes depending on whether I’m using real succulents or artificial trailing vines.

Shown here is the Multicolor version which is my personal favorite. I'm currently working on three sizes: Small (5”), Medium (7”), and Large (9”).
