[M4F] Searching for Torturously-Slow Burning Historical Romances

Hi there! I’m looking for a writing partner who, like myself, is enthused by both historical settings and torturous slow burns — and I do mean torturous, like, tens, if not hundreds of thousands of words before a realisation of feelings, freak outs over the slightest touch of fingers, and God forbid the reaction when they finally kiss. I adore dwelling in the yearning, in the interiority of our characters and whatever side characters we decide are necessary to tell our story.

As a writer, I tend to be pretty literate — and would ask for a writing sample or two before moving onwards to the writing phase itself, and would gladly be willing to provide one or two of my own. I put a high value, as mentioned, on character interiority, so a sample that demonstrates your capacity to write such a thing would be highly appreciated!

Moving on to what kind of story I’d like to write — I am sooo open to hearing whatever you have to pitch/pitching my own ideas, for which I often feel like an endless font. Genuinely, I’ve only been writing for a couple years, but I adore coming up with a ton of ideas for new stories, so I’ve got plenty in mind, with some of my absolute favourite tropes below:

• age gaps (older man x younger woman in particular)
• slow burns (I'm talking a hundred thousand words before the first kiss-level slow burns)
• forbidden relationships (soooo many ways to do this, feel free to ask!)
• religious guilt (Catholic guilt, my beloved)
• class differences (when there are money troubles...)
• royalty (i love crowns and fashion and succession conflicts)
• priests (priests falling in love, my other beloved)
• ward x guardian (when the relationship changes to lovers ... my third beloved)
• political intrigue (please let me make up a political system for you!!)
• cheating (never let your wife stop you from meeting your soulmate)

A tiny bit more about me as a writer as well, just so you might be able to better determine our compatibility before reaching out:

• Writes, at minimum, 2000+ characters per reply. This is my absolute minimum, though even in a lower-lit style, I'll usually end up around the 2600 or 2700 mark. I also adore stories where I have to stretch myself, and if you regularly put out replies in the 5-6000+ range, I am more than capable of matching anything up to 10k, and will adore you for it!
• Loves big worlds; I love introducing side characters, talking about locations and maps and family trees, and all those attendant details, letter-writing and more, and would love partners who value them as well.
• OOC chatter — I love making friends with writing partners, chatting about life and our RP, so if you're up for that, I think we'd be great partners.
• Reply speed: I tend to be capable of a reply every other day (finding myself busier and busier with my final year of university), but can sometimes stretch out longer, or find myself replying more often. I’m fine with whatever schedule you have, as long as it gets in one or two replies a week. If there’s a stretch longer than that where one of us is unable to reply, communication works wonders to get through that!
