Suggest A Laptop- India <80,000 INR- Student work + light gaming at reduced settings
I recently purchased a Dell 15 DC15250. I might be returning it due to concerns with its longevity, so I just wanted to put some feelers out and see what other laptops y'all recommend with a similar price range and specs.
LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
- Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
- India, Less than 80,000 INR
- Are you open to refurbs/used?
- No
- How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
- Good build quality, preferably all aluminum. Decent battery life: I won't be taking out of the house too often. Should be reasonably fast (16Gb and Ryzen7/i7 if possible.)
- How important is weight and thinness to you?
- I don't want to be carrying around a brick but don't mind something on the heavier side for a laptop.
- Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
- 14 or 15 inch
- Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
- VS Code, Gimp, Filmora. No CAD.
- If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
- Deep Rock Galactic at ~60 fps (1280x720p) medium to low graphics
- Don't play them now but it would be nice to be able to try games like Valorant and Destiny 2
- Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
- Comfortable keyboard, good build quality, will be using an external mouse, no need for fingerprint reader or touch screen
- Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
- Current laptop is a MI notebook 14 8Gb i5
