Step by Step moving guide for a dummy (me)

Hello to anyone that may read this,

I am a confused 20 year old living in a home that frustrates me. For years I've dealt with parents who are not emotionally mature and are strict about what I must do and how I must live; along with our family community/culture/relatives that are very conservative. The last two years were harder as I started university and find myself fighting with my mother about independence and school. While at the same time, those years I met an online friend and we've been very close since. She lives in a healthy home, our cultures are similar and talking with her feels like I am heard and seen. I've thought about it for a while now and felt that maybe moving to Turkey at her house would help me have a space to be myself, live freely and calm my nerves from my family. I do not have the best amount of money and still need to 'adult' so living with another family that are willing to help seemed easier than moving on my own for now.

Only issue is, being so young and lost, I have no idea where to start. How should I get my visa? What even is a residence permit? If anyone can share a guide that would be much appreciated.
