Seeking advice
"I'm on warfarin as my blood thinner, so I need to monitor my INR regularly and limit vitamin K intake. I've heard warfarin has a higher bleeding risk compared to other options. Managing INR checks can be tough with a busy schedule.
I've heard people use Rivaroxaban or Apixaban (Eliquis) without needing INR monitoring, and they're supposedly safer and more effective for preventing clots and strokes.
My doctor switched me to warfarin from apixaban, saying it suits my APS (Antiphospholipid Syndrome) better. Warfarin is a proven long-term treatment for preventing recurrent blood clots in both veins and arteries. Given APS involves high-intensity clotting, warfarin might be more effective.
"I have APLA and protein S deficiency. I have CVT (deep cortical vein thrombosis), which is why my doctor switched from rivaroxaban to warfarin.
