Carpet cleaning causing sore throat?
I used my carpet cleaner to deep clean the carpets in my bedroom about two weeks ago. Now every time I go to bed, my throat starts hurting, but during the day it's completely fine.
I do this at least every 6-12 months and have never had a problem before. I normally vacuum immediately after the carpets dry, but I forgot to this time. I also normally use a higher concentration of carpet cleaning solution than recommended on the machine because we have two dogs.
Well, I did some research and found out that the cleaning solution turns into powder after it dries and can cause irritation, so I set up our Dyson with the HEPA filter to filter the air (not blowing out, but sucking in air), and vacuumed the carpets twice tonight.
About an hour after I went into our room, my throat started hurting again. Anyone got any tips on how to get the irritation to stop? I can't sleep because of it and I've got a newborn, so I really don't want her throat to get irritated too because of this.
Please help!!
