First read of When he was wicked

I have just finished a first read of When he was wicked, because i wanted to understand all the outrage and i just have to say...i dont get it.

Most of the contents in the book can easily be adapted to a sapphic storyline.

The infertility storyline isnt as big of a plot point as everyone made it out to be. The main storyline is Fran trying to move on because she has a goal of a child in mind but her lust and passion of Micheal is the main focus. Its about Fran wanting Michael but cant accept that this rake (who is her best friend) would make a good husband. The fact he is her husbands cousin is also a big plot point. The 2nd epilogue actually ruins the 1st epilogue for me. the 1st has Fran accepting that while she may never have a child she is happy with her life as it is, her talk to eloise may have even been a hint that adopting was a possibility. The 2nd epilogue is kinda a slap in the face toevery woman who cant have a child.

The 2 parts i hope they include in the show is the malaria storyline and michael (michaela) saving Fran from an assualt.
